Maoz was a man of truth. Principled, a professional in everything he did - quietly, humbly, and always with a smile. A Torah scholar who connected heaven and earth, with his feet planted deep in the soil of this good Land.

As a student at the Regavim Yeshiva, Maoz helped countless farmers redeem and work the land with his own hands. He loved his people, simply and truly - quietly raising donations and equipment for soldiers in need, never asking for anything in return.

Maoz's character embodied the highest values of the Israeli warrior - love of humanity, of his people and of the Land, devotion to the mission, determination, the pursuit of excellence and the drive for victory. As a student of the Itamar Yeshiva in Samaria, Maoz drew strength of spirit and faith in the justice of our cause from the Torah. I saw his striking picture in uniform, and heard of his kindness, his pursuit of truth and his humility.

The Mission

A Battle for the Land - and the Chance to Win It

Across Judea and Samaria today, a real battle is being waged over the land itself. Open ground that is not held - is taken. The outcome is decided on the ground, dunam by dunam.

Maoz Farm now stands at a strategic point: the junction where three regions of the Land meet - the Negev, the Hills, and the Lowlands - in the "Eshkolot Corridor," adjacent to the security fence.

The living, working Jewish presence we are building at this exact spot will block the movement of illegal infiltrators, stop the takeover of state lands, and create a continuous chain of Jewish settlement along the fence line.

We Are on the Land. Construction Is Underway.

On Monday, September 7, 2026 (25 Elul 5786), in coordination with the IDF, Shai, Sarah and their four children moved onto the land - and the farm went from a dream to a fact on the ground.

Conditions right now are truly pioneering: the family lives in a towed caravan on the hilltop, with no permanent structure yet, no running water and no electricity. Volunteers from across the country work alongside them every day, and the farm is being built stage by stage according to an orderly plan.

Who We Are

The Asael Family - One Family, One Calling

We are Shai and Sarah Asael. We have bound our lives, and the lives of our children, to the soil of the southern Hebron Hills. Since September 7, 2026 we have been living on the hilltop, in a towed caravan, building with our own hands the farm that carries the name of Maoz, our beloved, heroic nephew.

For us this is not a business plan - it is a way of life. Even without running water or electricity: an open home on the hilltop, a long table for volunteers, and children growing up on love of the Land.

Continuing a Vision of Generations - "Aleh Resh"

The farm grows out of the vision of Yaki Asael of blessed memory - a man of Torah and the Land of Israel, among the pioneers of the Hebron Hills, Shai's father and Maoz's grandfather. The "Aleh Resh" vision unites working the land, love of the Land, and bringing together every part of the Jewish people - and the farm is its living fulfillment, generation after generation.
